Campus invited to weigh in on the selection of a new chancellor

By Public Affairs

Four open forums will be held, starting Thursday, where the campus community can weigh in on the qualities they’d like to see in the next UC Berkeley chancellor.

A message from the search advisory committee for the selection of the new chancellor said each of four “listening sessions” would focus on the needs and interests of different groups: undergraduates, graduate students, staff and faculty.

The schedule:

Staff — Thursday, Oct. 27, 2-3:30 p.m., Banatao Auditorium, Sutardja Dai Hall

Faculty — Thursday, Oct. 27, 4-5:30 p.m., Banatao Auditorium, Sutardja Dai Hall

Undergraduate students — Wednesday, N ov. 2, 4-5:30 p.m., Sibley Auditorium, Bechtel Engineering Center

Graduate students — Wednesday, Nov. 2, 6-7:30 p.m., Sibley Auditorium, Bechtel Engineering Center

Anyone is welcome to attend any of the l istening sessions, but priority will be given to members of that session’s particular community, the message emphasized.
