Bear Transit: Shuttle to see service changes, real-time arrival app

By Public Affairs

Parking and Transportation is making changes to the campus’s Bear Transit shuttle service, which take effect Monday, Oct. 7. The update is being made in order to improve services, based on rider feedback. The changes include:

  • route modifications to improve on time arrivals and extend the service area
  • real-time arrival information via a new app and the website
  • increased service from BART to all points on campus

The new line schedules and maps will be available online starting 4 p.m., Friday, Oct. 4.

Bear Transit shuttle services, with the exception of the Richmond Field Station (RFS) line, are free to campus affiliates holding a current campus ID, such as the Cal 1 Card. Riders without campus ID pay a nominal fare to ride campus shuttle lines.

See the Parking & Transportation website for more information , as well as maps of the new routes .
