Power has been fully restored to UC Berkeley buildings hit by an outage late Friday morning when contractors accidentally cut a power line.

The outage occurred while Facilities Services was doing routine work on a power substation.

Power started coming back on in some buildings around 1:20 p.m. and was restored in all by 1:45 p.m., as Facilities Services switched over to another substation. Facilities Services staff are continuing to check building systems to make sure they are operating as they should following the outage.

More information will be posted as it becomes available. Updates also will be made on the campus systems status page
