A #CalWelcome in photos as students move in

By Public Affairs

Cars poured into Berkeley over the weekend, delivering new and returning students and their belongings for the new academic year at UC Berkeley. More than 7,000 students were expected to move into student housing by the time classes start Wednesday.

Move-in weekend kicked off three weeks of Getting Your Bearings welcome activities. More than 300 events are being held to welcome new students to UC Berkeley and orient them to campus culture, the UC Berkeley community and campus services and resources. Caltopia is on, and at convocation Monday, Chancellor Dirks will officially greet new students. Full information about welcome activities is posted online.
