Which people and programs support innovation — from bright idea to product launch — at UC Berkeley? More than 20 organizations that make up the campus’s startup ecosystem will showcase their services at the Berkeley Entrepreneurs’ Expo on Friday, Sept. 11.

Campus students, faculty and alumni are invited to learn about SkyDeck, CITRIS Foundry, Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology and other innovation incubators and centers, and to meet representatives from Berkeley startups that are hiring.

“Lack of knowledge about the outstanding services available at Berkeley” is a common barrier for “entrepreneurs and wannapreneurs,” so the expo is a rare opportunity, says SkyDeck executive director Caroline Winnett. Investors scouting Berkeley for projects to fund will be in attendance, she adds.

Keynote speakers include Winnett from SkyDeck, Michael Berolzheimer of Bee Partners, CITRIS Foundry’s Peter Minor and Eugene Noh of SCET Venture Lab.

Free and open to the public, the expo will be held from noon to 4 p.m. in the atrium of Sutardja Dai Hall. Pre-registration, at beeexpo-fall2015.eventbrite.com, is recommended but not required.
