Berkeley holds open enrollment info sessions

Open enrollment — the four-week period when UC employees and retirees can tailor their benefit plans for 2016 — opens tomorrow, Thursday, Oct. 29.

To help Berkeley staff, faculty and retirees with their decisions, the campus is offering three medical plan information sessions.

The first takes place Friday, Oct. 30, at Freight and Salvage on Addison Street. Specific times are scheduled for retirees whose benefits are coordinated with Medicare, and then for faculty, staff and non-Medicare employees. Time slots also have been set up for medical plan representatives to be available. The flyer with the complete schedule can be downloaded here.

Two more sessions are planned for emeriti and retirees whose benefits are coordinated with Medicare. The session for retirees is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 5, The session for emeriti is planned for Tuesday, Nov. 10. Both will take place from 10 a.m. to noon in 150 University Hall. Medical plan representatives will not be present.
