Campus & community, Campus news

Notice anything different about us?

The all-new Berkeley News has gone live, replacing the NewsCenter as UC Berkeley's main news website. It's more visual and easier to use, and all the articles, photos, videos, announcements you're used to seeing are still here. Take a look.

Introducing Berkeley News, with logo

Berkeley News home pageWelcome to Berkeley News, which replaces the UC Berkeley NewsCenter as the campus’s main news website.

All the articles, photos, videos, announcements you’re used to seeing are still here — but the look is more visual, and some of the information appears in new places.

As on the old site, posts are grouped by category, but we’ve simplified the categories to make them easier to use. Look for Research, People, Campus & Community, Arts & Culture and Opinion as good avenues into articles, videos and photos about what’s going on around campus. Pulldown menus from each main category take you to what’s inside.

The All News link (top and bottom) instantly shows you all the latest articles and videos in chronological order, starting with the most recent. Or just click on a post that interests you and start from there.

Search (top) and the Topics A-Z (bottom) links help you zero in quickly on your areas of interest.

Be sure to let us know what you think. Suggestions, comments and story ideas are always welcome at [email protected]. Look for us on Facebook (UCBerkeley) and Twitter (@UCBerkeleyNews), too.

Sometime in the fall, we’ll run a short survey to see what you all are liking — and what needs improvement.

In the meantime, plunge in and check us out.
