Twenty university Student Affairs directors from the Beijing Municipal Education Committee visited the Berkeley campus on Thursday, August 18, enjoying a campus tour and learning about Berkeley’s efforts to upgrade student safety and space. If snapshots taken are an indication of appreciation, the group found the campus beautiful (as several confided to their tour guide), and the Bay Area weather certainly cooperated.

After the tour, Dean Jonathan Poullard and others addressed the group about Berkeley’s Student Affairs programs, and facilitated a presentation on the Lower Sproul renovation project, a massive effort to revisualize the space to better serve the student population.

The visitors came to the Berkeley campus after participating in a 2-week leadership training program at UCLA.
