Workshop set for Chancellor’s Community Partnership Fund
Oct. 12 meeting at North Berkeley Senior Center for potential applicants and partners
October 4, 2011
The Chancellor’s Community Partnership Fund will host a workshop for interested applicants, as well as potential community or university partners, on Wednesday, Oct. 12, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the North Berkeley Senior Center.
Established in 2006, the fund has awarded over $1.25 million to more than 90 diverse neighborhood-improvement projects and community-service programs, with the aim of supporting those that utilize collaborative relationships between UC Berkeley and the community to address critical needs.
This year, the fund has approximately $235,000 to distribute to campus-community projects in the areas of arts and culture, community safety, economic development, environmental stewardship and education.
The Senior Center is located at 1901 Hearst Ave. For more information about the fund and the workshop, visit the UC Berkeley Government and Community Relations website.
