UC Berkeley is adding another strong crop of student-athletes this week, headlined by swimmer Missy Franklin, as high school seniors across the country are signing their national letters of intent.

Franklin, a five-time Olympic medalist in London last summer, signed today (Wednesday, Nov. 14) and is perhaps the most decorated recruit ever to enter the collegiate ranks. She won gold medals in the 100-meter and 200-meter backstroke and the 400 medley and 800 freestyle relays, plus a bronze in the 2012 games.

Also signing today was the top men’s swimming recruit, Ryan Murphy of Ponte Vedra, Fla.
