CITRIS and Marvell Lab in the national spotlight

UC Berkeley’s research and innovation facilities were in the national spotlight Wednesday, when U.S. Rep. Barbara Lee (D-Oakland) toured CITRIS and the CITRIS Invention Lab and the Marvell Nanofabrication Lab. At left, Lee and CITRIS director Costas Spanos listen intently to a presentation on the ways the Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society shortens the pipeline between top research and the application of discoveries. Also on hand, at right, was is Berkeley postdoc Nick Kohut of Dash Robotics, whose group has developed an origami robot that people can build themselves.
