Students arrive for move-in as fall semester kicks off

Chancellor Dirks and campus leaders were on hand to greet students and their families as they moved into campus housing over the weekend. More than 6,000 students settled into residence halls. Classes beginning on Thursday, Aug. 28.

Chancellor Nicholas Dirks and other campus leaders were on hand to greet students and their families as they moved into UC Berkeley campus housing over the weekend. Along with a cadre of campus ambassadors, they welcomed more than 6,000 students, who settled into residence halls in anticipation of classes beginning on Thursday, Aug. 28.
