Barely used and new pianos, guitars and violins will be for sale to UC Berkeley’s faculty and staff as well as the public Aug. 13-16 at the Department of Music’s Hertz Auditorium.

The instruments by makers such as Pramberger, Seiler, Knabe, Peavey, Steinway & Sons and others are provided for sale by the Rockley Family Foundation, which has supplied the department with new, first-class pianos for free for the past year.

To attend the event’s pre-sale scheduled for Aug. 13-15, call (510) 642-0099 to set up a time. No appointment is necessary to attend the final sale from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 16.

Information about visitor parking is online, as are directions to campus locations.
