On Tuesday, January 31st, the Chancellor’s Senate/Administration Committee on Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment published its draft report: A holistic set of recommendations for improving services, policies and practices relating to the prevention, remediation, adjudication, and sanctioning of sexual violence, harassment and assault against students, staff and faculty on the UC Berkeley campus. The full report can be found here.
The Chancellor’s Senate/Administration Committee was formed in April of 2016 following a series of high-profile cases of sexual harassment on the Berkeley campus. Its work was overseen by Dean of Social Sciences and Executive Dean of the College of Letters and Science Carla Hesse as well as Professor of Italian and Comparative Literature Barbara Spackman.
The committee is now accepting public comments from the UC Berkeley community on its recommendations. Comments should be sent to [email protected].
