More UC Berkeley graduates are hired into the tech industry in Silicon Valley than alumni from any other American university, beating out the Ivy League and Bay Area rival Stanford.
That’s according to an analysis of hiring data done by the online recruiting company HiringSolved. According to Business Insider, HiringSolved looked at data from more than 10,000 public profiles for tech workers hired or promoted to new positions int Silicon Valley’s top 25 tech companies by revenue in 2016 and the first two months of 2017.
Berkeley topped the list, followed by Stanford (2), Carnegie Mellon (3), USC (4) and the University of Texas at Austin (5). None of the top 10 universities were Ivy League schools.
