Degrees: B.S., Carnegie Mellon University, 1979; M.S., Ph.D., UC Berkeley, 1981, 1984
Research interests: Cryptography, ensuring the privacy and correctness of communication and computation, and computational complexity theory with emphasis on randomized algorithms and proof verification.
Other interests: Reading, traveling, movies, playback theater.
