Feinstein ‘an exemplary public servant, trailblazer,’ chancellor says

Chancellor Carol Christ issued the following statement Friday morning on the passing of Sen. Dianne Feinstein. 


On behalf of the Berkeley campus community, I want to extend our sympathies and condolences to Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s family and loved ones. She was an exemplary public servant and a trailblazer in every sense of the word. Through her powerful advocacy for the causes, policies and legislation she believed in, Sen. Feinstein left an indelible mark on the city, state and nation she served. May she rest in peace.
