Philip Frickey, one of the nation’s foremost experts on federal Indian law, died Sunday, July 11, at the age of 57.
In addition to the numerous books and articles Frickey authored on legislation, constitutional law and Indian law, he volunteered his skills outside the scholastic arena by writing amicus briefs on behalf of the Native American Rights Fund and National Congress of American Indians in various U.S. Supreme Court cases.
