Professor John Morgan’s Berkeley-Haas School of Business course on game theory borrows from the Survivor TV show to present students with real-world business challenges, without anyone getting voted off an island.
The class on the science of strategy takes students through exercises involving basketball free agency, radio spectrum auctions, online retailing and legislative lobbying, and advises them that empathy and the ability to learn from their mistakes are requisites in the business world.
