BioBlitz invites citizen scientists to Berkeley tomorrow

Amateur and professional naturalists of all sizes will converge on the Berkeley campus tomorrow (Saturday, April 9) for BioBlitz 2016.

For four hours, faculty, students and community members will conduct a biological inventory of the campus, observing as many birds, insects, mammals, fungi and other organisms as possible.

The UC Berkeley’s first BioBlitz is one of over 25 such events being hosted at parks and other outside spaces around California in celebration of the National Park Service Centennial this year, in partnership with National Geographic.
