Chancellor’s Task Force on Athletics and Academics issues its report
In December 2013, Chancellor Dirks established the Task Force on Academics and Athletics "to devise new means to ensure that our academic mission informs every part of our intercollegiate athletics programs." The panel's report and recommendations have just been released.

In December 2013, Chancellor Nicholas Dirks established the Task Force on Academics and Athletics, a 20-member panel he charged with the responsibility “to devise new means to ensure that our academic mission informs every part of our intercollegiate athletics programs.” He asked the group to report back with “a series of actionable recommendations to assist the campus in maximizing the academic performance of student-athletes and the overall quality of their campus experience.”
